Statement

What interests me is a spectrum of abstraction and realism that evokes both stillness and vitality. The work tends to be made in cycles: still life, figures and abstraction. I use collage for sketching out an idea because it's fun and can be surprising. What unifies my work is the idea that all matter is energy. That's why I can make a still life and have my apples move. And the figure work is often in multiples, because there are many aspects in being ourselves.
